The game will be a 2D, collectible game similar to the Mario and sonic series where you would collect items and defeat level mini bosses up to the point of which you would reach the main boss of the whole game and the game is aimed at kids of ages 9+. We made the game 9+ as a younger audience member would not be aware of some of the landmarks or countries we would be using and the plan of gameplay we felt would be difficult at stages as you need to do certain things to get past a stage. Each level is an end to end platform which would be focused on certain landmarks with surrounding foods, overcoming obstacles and collecting items and fixing the food landmarks to eventually fight mini bosses and then the main boss. For our project we decided to produce concept art and models of one level and the main character which will be textured. The roles are for Ifraz to work on the character side of the concept art and modelling with Tom's role being similar but for the environment concept art and modelling and since we are a two man group there will often be work done on each others side of the project to bring a new perspective and to also freshen up the mindset. The timing of this project is three months, where the project is mainly two months and the final month will be to fine tune any anomalies within the project.
Here is the gant chart we produced at the start before moving forward, using the Gantt Project software that was mentioned by fellow students:
As Ifraz and Tom are working on another project together alongside Danny and Chris they found a few bits of functions that they have applied to their own food landmarks project specifically creating a blog for their project and a facebook private group to which they will be able to keep in constant contatc with one another and bounce ideas off of each other such as the name of the game and main character which as shown in the image went on through lengthy name variations which ended with the main character being named Ned Bunsem but the name of the game being either
