Main Enemy Characters, Rat Boss

The side of the main character design was done and so we started to look at what we would have as the main enemy to Ned Bunsem (main character) and because of our initial brainstorm stage the one food landmark that we thought of was the Eiffel Tower as an upside down cheese string. From that continuous notion we thought of having a rat boss as the main enemy to which would be gnawing at the Eiffel 'cheese string' Tower and once Ned gets to this stage and encounters the rat boss, then the rat boss would runaway to the final level. Another reason for the choice of the rat boss was because a rat rummaging through a fridge and gnawing at an Eiffel Tower cheese string would be feasible. I started off by researching into rats and not just real rats but cartoon rats as this allowed to see how they were represented to which i found their intial design is very simple nd not going into detail of hairs and markings and such but keeping the main areas of a rat that are known such as the ears, tail, nose, big feet and small hands. So i began to design full rats and kept them simple with the main areas of a rat known and visible and along with those i realised that there wasn't much of variations of a rat that you could do as it tends to be the body which usually varies and so thats what i had done. Looking at the main aspects of a rat i design the shape of the rat and tried to change the placing of the rats features and to even exaggerate them to make each design vary to which one would then be chosen as the final rat boss design.
