Main Enemy Characters Turnarounds & Ned Bunsem Attacking Enemies

Now that i had done the various rat designs i showed Tom the designs and we chose to go with the design that you see on your left and thi swas because the design stayed to the basic design that would work towards modelling and texturing but also because the design retains the evil look about the design one which if shown to the audience would instantly be recognised as an evil character. So from that choice of rat design i began to create a turnaround for the rat and felt that the design should look not just menacing but resemble a scrawny looking mob boss with the not too large belly and i tried to keep the design of both the hands and the feet simple and close to a rat but along with the overall rat design to be cartoony.

The next design that was left to be chosen was the cockroach mini boss and after having done the various designs i showed Tom and we both decided to go with the design you see on the right which was turned into a turnaround. The reason why we went with this character design was because it was again a simple design which retained the fact that it looks scary and not friendly which would easily be known as an enemy within the level. In the turnaround i gave the cockroach design much more of stomach as it shows that the character has been eating the food landmarks but also the overall design is not very visual until the colours are added as this is what i noticed through my research that the colour is what makes the design viable as a cockroach.

Once the rat boss and cockroach mini boss were chosen i began to use the pose design of Ned Bunsem with his gun in use and designed the cockroach being hit by the gun to which i had done three designs which vary because of the clothing that Ned wear as this is one area that myself and Tom need to decide on.
